Game to Grow TTRPG Workshop In-Person

Join this workshop to gain knowledge and experience running tabletop role-playing game sessions for your community. These fun, engaging, and enriching storytelling experiences will bring people of all ages into the library again and again. This interactive workshop will be led by Adam Davis, founder of the nonprofit Game to Grow, with over a decade of experience leading TTRPG groups for therapeutic, educational, and community growth. He’ll provide guidance for how to structure and lead TTRPG sessions in a way that is supportive, inclusive, and accessible. This workshop is suitable for all experience levels. Expect to play!

Important Things to Know:

  • Prior to attending this training, participants will be expected to view approximately 60-90 minutes of prerequisite videos about TTRPG basics. This is to ensure all participants have the same background knowledge necessary for the training to be the most meaningful for all! Once the videos are available, you will receive an email with more information on how  to access them.
  • Registration closes one month prior to the event date. Please only register if you are planning to attend in-person, and cancel your registration if you know you aren't going to be able to make it. This will make sure we can let people in off the waiting list, and give our presenter an accurate attendee count.

  • This training is open to all library staff who are interested in facilitating intentional and high-quality Tabletop Role-Playing Games in their libraries. Public, tribal, school, academic, and special library staff are all welcome! Clock Hours will be available for Teacher-Librarians.

  • There will be a one-hour lunch break during this training, but food is not provided. Please plan to bring a lunch or get lunch at a nearby spot! Please bring water bottles, coffee, tea, snacks, and anything else that will help you stay nourished during the training.
